The Ark Origin Story Part 2: Coming to Manchester

Let's fast forward to 2024 where OUR relationship with The Ark begins. There's a lot to tell you in between, but there's plenty of time to tell that tale.....

At that point, the initial testing phase was already underway in Dubai where the creator had himself set up his first functioning Ark clinic.

Back home, we were running a family-run beauty business and were simply looking for new ways to expand what we offered. We weren’t particularly spiritual, and we weren’t searching for a revolutionary wellness experience. We were looking for our next business opportunity—something different that could add another dimension to the services we already provided. Little did we know that this search was about to take us in a completely different direction.

The chamber was unlike anything we had experienced before. Its interior was coated with nano-pulverised quartz, with the chamber itself providing a unique setting in which to experience the sound frequencies.

At its simplest, frequency is the number of times a sound wave vibrates each second, measured in hertz (Hz). The Ark works with seven frequencies, ranging from 396Hz to 963Hz, with each one connected to a different energy centre and part of the emotional experience.

We didn’t fully understand it at the time. We simply stepped inside, listened to the frequencies and allowed ourselves to experience the chamber without knowing what to expect.

The journey itself was extremely eventful as our first visit fell on the worst floods Dubai had ever seen so we actually travelled for 3 hours for what was usually a 20 minute journey. But it was meant to be, the journey was supposed to be difficult, possibly so we'd appreciate the experience even more.

When the session ended, something felt different.

It was difficult to put into words, but we all felt a profound shift—calmer, clearer and more settled. None of us had gone into the chamber expecting anything significant to happen, which perhaps made the way we felt afterwards even more powerful.

For the first time, this wasn’t just something we were considering as a business opportunity. It felt personal. Whatever had happened during that session, we knew we wanted The Ark in our lives.

Thankfully, a beautiful relationship and friendship was already forming with its creator - we'll tell his story when the time is right and it'll be the most interesting story of them all.

Just three months later, we took delivery of the first Ark in the UK.

We genuinely believed we were going to change the world right there and then but to be brutally honest, the first 12 months were a bit of a nightmare!

We had brought something completely unique to the market and thought it would be easy to promote. It proved to be anything but. When you have something so special that has never been seen before, how do you explain it to a completely new audience? It is much harder than you might think.

We had to find the right words, create new processes and build the research and structure around the experience. At the same time, people were stepping inside The Ark and having incredible experiences of their own. Those early reactions gave us the belief to keep going, even when building the business was proving more difficult than we had ever imagined.

And we did keep going.

After a whirlwind first 12 months, we had created a welcoming environment alongside a completely unique experience. We had learned, adapted and built something that we knew was ready to expand.

In November 2025, our second clinic opened in Manchester city centre. Then came 2026 and the launch of The Ark franchise concept, taking what we had created beyond our own clinics for the first time.

And this is where the story is only just getting started…
